Guardian 5-Year Protection Plan
Our standard warranty covers manufacturer defects. The Guardian Plan covers everyday life — stains, spills, rips, burns, pet accidents, and structural breakage from a specific incident. Backed by CNA Insurance, five years of accidental damage coverage.
Material-by-Material. Every material has its own characteristics — and its own warranty terms. Here is what applies to each.
Fabric Sofas, Sectionals & Chairs
3-month limited warranty against manufacturer defect. Frame warranties are honored per the manufacturer. Mechanisms (recliners, sleepers, glider bases) are subject to the manufacturer's warranty.

Wood Furniture — Bedroom, Dining, Tables

Glass Products — Mirrors, Tabletops, Cabinet Doors
All glass items — mirrors, tabletops, dining tops, cabinet doors — must be inspected carefully at the moment of delivery or pickup.

Protect Your Mattress From Day One
A mattress protector is strongly recommended — manufacturers cannot accept any mattress with stains, regardless of cause, which voids warranty coverage immediately.
Special Categories. Clearance and "AS-IS" items have different warranty terms than regular merchandise. Know the difference before you buy.
Clearance Merchandise
Items marked down for clearance carry a limited 90-day warranty against manufacturer defect.
Important timing: Clearance merchandise must be scheduled for delivery or picked up within three days of purchase. If not, the item is returned to sale and your deposit is held on account as store credit.
"AS-IS" Merchandise
Items marked "AS-IS" are sold in their current condition with no warranties or guarantees of any kind. What you see is what you get.
These are typically floor models, returned items with cosmetic damage, or final-clearance pieces. The price reflects the condition. No claims can be filed on AS-IS purchases.
When Something Goes Wrong. If you spot a problem, act fast — the 24-hour window is what keeps your claim eligible.
Kassa Mall Reserves The Right To
- Inspect the damaged merchandise in the customer's home
- Service the item in your home, our warehouse, or at the factory
- Repair or replace at the discretion of the manufacturer and Customer Service Department
Transportation and labor fees are provided at no charge for one year from the date of purchase when the item was delivered and assembled by our delivery technicians. All services are provided within our standard delivery schedule. Kassa Mall adheres to all manufacturer warranties.

How long does the standard warranty last?
Kassa Mall provides a 3-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects on most furniture. We also honor all applicable manufacturer warranties on frames, mechanisms, and other components — which often extend beyond 3 months depending on the brand. Clearance merchandise carries a 90-day warranty. "AS-IS" items carry no warranty.
What is the difference between the standard warranty and the Guardian Plan?
The standard warranty covers manufacturer defects — problems caused by how the item was made. It does not cover anything you might accidentally do to it. The Guardian 5-Year Protection Plan is a paid add-on that covers accidental damage from everyday life: stains, spills, rips, burns, breakage from a specific incident, and more. If you have kids, pets, or anyone who eats on the couch, Guardian is worth considering.
I noticed damage after I unboxed it — what do I do?
Contact our Customer Service Department immediately, within 24 hours of pickup or delivery. Email service@kmhomefurniture.com with clear photos of the damage and a description, and have your receipt ready. If the damage was visible at delivery, also note it on the delivery packing slip before signing.
Do I have to pay for transportation if you replace my item?
For warranty service on items delivered and assembled by our team, transportation and labor are free for one year from the date of purchase. After that, transportation and labor may apply. All warranty service is provided within our standard delivery schedule.
My mattress has body impressions — is that covered?
It depends on the depth. Manufacturer warranties only consider body impressions a defect when they exceed 1½" on innerspring mattresses, or ¾" on hybrid (smooth top) and all-foam mattresses. Shallower impressions are considered normal break-in for foam and latex materials. To file a claim, you'll need a measurement and photos.
Why won't my mattress warranty cover a stain?
Manufacturers will not accept any mattress with stains for warranty service — regardless of cause — because of health and sanitation policies. This is industry-standard. Always use a mattress protector from day one to keep your warranty eligible.
The leather on my sofa has a small mark — is that a defect?
Probably not. Leather is a natural material, and characteristics like color variation, grain variation, wrinkles, scars, brands, and bug bites are signs of genuine top-grain leather, not defects. They add personality to each piece. If a mark is large, unusual, or worsening, send us photos and we'll take a look.
How do I file a Guardian Plan claim?
Report the incident directly to Guardian within 30 days of when it happened. Guardian handles all Guardian Plan claims through their U.S.-based service team — toll-free phone or website. Your plan documentation, sent to you after purchase, includes the contact details and your policy number.
Can I add the Guardian Plan to an order I already placed?
Guardian Plans are typically added at the time of purchase. If you've recently placed an order and want to add coverage, call us right away at (281) 377-8547 — we may be able to add the plan before delivery. After delivery, it depends on the timing; we'll do our best.
What if I bought my furniture "AS-IS" and now there's a problem?
"AS-IS" items are sold in their current condition with no warranties or guarantees. The price reflects the condition at the time of sale. We are unable to process warranty claims on AS-IS purchases. This is different from regular clearance items, which carry a 90-day warranty.
Our customer service team is here to help with any warranty question. Reach us by phone or email and we will get back to you fast.
