Guardian Protection Plan

Your furniture is an investment. Life happens around it. The Guardian Protection Plan covers the spills, rips, burns, stains, and breakage your manufacturer warranty does not — for a full five years, backed by CNA Insurance and administered by OnPoint Warranty Solutions.

1
What Is The Guardian Protection Plan?

The Guardian Protection Plan is a 5-year accidental damage protection policy for residential furniture, sold by Kassa Mall Home Furniture at the time of purchase, administered by OnPoint Warranty Solutions, and underwritten by CNA Insurance. Unlike a manufacturer warranty (which covers only defects in materials and workmanship), the Guardian Plan covers accidental damage from everyday life — stains, spills, rips, burns, pet accidents, heat marks, broken glass tops, mechanism failures after the manufacturer warranty expires, and more. Coverage runs from the date of delivery for a full five years, applies to invoices up to $20,000, and includes in-home repair service or replacement if the damage cannot be repaired.

Who Provides It

Administered by OnPoint Warranty Solutions (Louisville, KY) and underwritten by CNA Insurance — one of the largest commercial insurers in the United States. Sold by Kassa Mall Home Furniture exclusively at the point of purchase.

When You Can Buy It

Only at the time of your furniture purchase, added as a line item during checkout. The plan cannot be added retroactively after delivery has been completed.

What It Covers

Accidental damage from a specific incident on residential furniture: stains, rips, burns, breakage, pet accidents, heat marks, glass breakage (flat glass only), and post-manufacturer mechanism failures.

Don't Let That First Spill Ruin Your New Furniture

It is inevitable. The wine glass tips. The pet has an accident. The kid finds a marker. Your manufacturer warranty covers defects — it does not cover anything you accidentally do to your furniture. That's where Guardian comes in.

Why Adding Guardian Is The Smart Move

The Value Equation. Furniture is one of the largest purchases most households make outside of a car or a home. Protecting that investment with a plan designed for everyday life pays for itself the first time it is needed.

One Repair Pays For The Plan

A single professional cleaning of a stained sectional can cost $200–$400. Refinishing a scratched dining table runs $300–$600. Replacing a broken sleeper mechanism is $500+. Guardian's annual cost is a fraction of even one of these incidents.

In-Home Service By Pros

Guardian does not make you ship your sectional anywhere. A qualified technician comes to your home, assesses the damage, and performs the repair right where the furniture lives.

If It Can't Be Repaired, It's Replaced

When the damage is beyond repair, Guardian replaces the item under the terms of your plan, up to your invoice limit. Backed by CNA Insurance, one of the largest underwriters in the country.

Coverage You Cannot Get From The Manufacturer

Standard furniture warranties cover one thing: defects in materials and workmanship. That means the seam that comes apart, the spring that fails, the finish that bubbles from the factory. It does not cover anything caused by use — not stains, not rips, not burns, not pet damage, not impact damage, not a glass top broken in a move. Guardian was built specifically to fill that gap with accidental damage coverage that lasts five years.

3
Exactly What Guardian Covers

Detailed Coverage. Guardian covers accidental damage from a specific incident on residential furniture. Coverage breaks into two main material groups, with broad lists in each.

Fabric, Leather & Vinyl

Upholstered Furniture Coverage

Stains from any food or beverage normally consumed by humans — coffee, wine, soda, sauce, juice, milk, the works.

Stains from human or pet bodily fluids — pet accidents, sickness, all the realities of a home with kids and animals.

Stains from everyday products — grass, grease, ballpoint pen ink, iodine, nail polish, cosmetics, lipstick, crayon, and shoe polish.

Mold and mildew stains caused by food or beverage spills.

Rips, cuts, punctures, or burns from a single specific incident.

Frame, spring, and sleeper mechanism breakage after the manufacturer's warranty has expired — including reclining and sleeper mechanisms.

Gouges, heat marks, or liquid rings from a single incident — the hot pan on the table, the wet glass that left a ring, the dropped pot.

Glass and mirror coverage — breakage of glass or mirror components, any chip of glass or mirror, and loss of silvering on mirrors. Crowned and curved glass excluded.

Finish issues from a single incident — checking, cracking, bubbling, or peeling of finish.

When Guardian Earns Its Keep

Real-World Scenarios. Here are the moments most Kassa Mall Home Furniture customers come back to thank us for recommending the plan.

The Wine Spill

Holiday dinner. Red wine. A new beige sectional. Without Guardian, you are looking at a professional cleaning bill or living with the stain. With Guardian, a technician treats the stain at your home — or if it cannot be removed, the cushion cover is replaced.

The Puppy

New puppy. New house. New rug. New leather sofa. Accidents happen, sometimes in places you do not expect. Guardian covers stains from pet bodily fluids on fabric, leather, and vinyl — treating them as part of the everyday-life category they are.

The Hot Pan

The dinner casserole came straight from the oven to the new dining table because the trivet was just out of reach. Now there is a permanent ring in the wood finish. Guardian covers heat marks, gouges, and liquid rings from a single incident.

The Kid With A Marker

Crayon, ballpoint pen ink, lipstick, nail polish — if it is listed in our coverage and your child found it, Guardian covers the stain. You get the furniture cleaned without the lecture and without the bill.

The Recliner Mechanism

Three years in, your favorite recliner stops reclining. The manufacturer's warranty expired at year one. Guardian covers mechanism breakage after the manufacturer's warranty has expired — for the full five-year term of your plan.

The Coffee Table Top

The glass top on your coffee table cracks when something heavy lands on it. Guardian covers flat-glass breakage and chips on glass and mirror components — including loss of silvering on mirrors. (Crowned and curved glass excluded.)

Frequently Asked Questions

Don't see your question? Call or text us at (281) 377-8547 — Monday through Saturday.

What exactly is the Guardian Protection Plan?

The Guardian Protection Plan is a 5-year accidental damage protection policy for residential furniture, sold by Kassa Mall Home Furniture at the time of purchase, administered by OnPoint Warranty Solutions, and underwritten by CNA Insurance. It covers stains, rips, burns, structural breakage from single incidents, mechanism failures after the manufacturer warranty expires, glass breakage, and a wide range of other everyday damage that manufacturer warranties do not cover.

How is this different from the warranty already included with my furniture?

The standard warranty covers manufacturing defects only; the Guardian Plan covers accidental damage from everyday use that manufacturer warranties never cover. Your standard warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship — manufacturing problems with how the item was made. It does not cover damage caused by use. The Guardian Plan is the opposite: it covers everyday accidents and damage from use. The two are designed to complement each other — together you are protected against both manufacturing problems and life happening to your furniture.

How long does the Guardian Plan last?

Five years from your delivery date. Coverage applies to every eligible piece on your invoice for the full five-year term.

What if my furniture is more than five years old?

The Guardian Plan must be purchased at the time of your furniture purchase — it cannot be added retroactively after the delivery date. If you have already had the furniture for some time, the plan window has closed for that purchase. New furniture orders qualify for plan coverage at checkout.

How much does the Guardian Plan cost?

The Guardian Plan price scales with your cart total — from $99.95 for orders up to $799, to $599.95 for orders between $10,000 and $20,999. See the full pricing table in the Pricing section above. Spread over five years, the cost works out to roughly $20–$120 per year depending on your tier.

Is the Guardian Plan really worth it?

For most households — especially those with kids, pets, or who entertain frequently — the Guardian Plan pays for itself the first time it is used. Here is the math most customers run: one professional cleaning of a sectional runs $200–$400. Refinishing a scratched dining table is $300–$600. Replacing a recliner mechanism after the manufacturer warranty expires is $500+. Even one of these events pays for the plan several times over.

How do I file a Guardian claim if something happens?

File your claim directly with Guardian within 30 days of the incident through the Guardian Consumer Portal. You will need your plan number (provided when your plan is registered after purchase). Describe what happened, upload photos, and Guardian's team will respond with next steps within a few business days.

Does a technician really come to my house?

Yes — for repairs that are best handled in person, Guardian dispatches an experienced furniture care technician from their nationwide network to your home. You do not ship the furniture anywhere. The technician assesses the damage and performs the repair on site. If the damage cannot be repaired to specification, Guardian replaces the item.

What if Guardian decides my item needs to be replaced instead of repaired?

When the damage from a covered incident cannot be repaired to like-new condition, Guardian replaces the item per the terms of your plan, up to your invoice limit (max $20,000). You are responsible for shipping costs on any replacement items Guardian provides.

What is NOT covered by the Guardian Plan?

Lighting, bedding, mattresses, bathroom furniture, fireplaces, pet beds, outdoor rugs, and home decor or accessories are excluded categories. Commercial or institutional use is excluded — the plan is for residential use only. Crowned and curved glass are excluded from glass breakage coverage. Accumulated damage (vs. a single incident) is not covered, and damage that occurred before the plan was purchased and registered is not covered. See the full list of exclusions in the What Guardian Does Not Cover section above.

Is Guardian a real company — who actually pays my claim?

Guardian Protection Products is a long-standing furniture-care brand administered by OnPoint Warranty Solutions (Louisville, Kentucky) and underwritten by CNA Insurance — one of the largest commercial insurance carriers in the United States. This means your plan is backed by a fully-insured policy, not just by a verbal promise from the retailer. Even in the unlikely event of any administrative change, CNA's underwriting ensures plan obligations continue.

Can I add the Guardian Plan after I have placed my order?

The Guardian Plan is normally added during checkout, but if you have placed an order recently and want to add the plan before delivery, call us right away at (281) 377-8547. We will do our best to add it before your items ship. After delivery has been completed, the plan can no longer be added to that order.

What happens to my plan if I sell my furniture or move to a new house?

Guardian Plans are tied to the residential address and the original purchaser; coverage moves with you to a new residence but typically does not transfer when you sell the furniture to someone else. Check your plan documentation for the specifics that apply to your purchase.
