Weekly Delivery Schedule

Our delivery operation runs at three scopes: local Houston routes six days a week, extended Texas routes connecting Houston to other major metros, and nationwide freight to the rest of the continental U.S.

1.1 — Houston Delivery

We deliver six days a week across three Houston-area zones (Zones 1, 2, and 3). Our own KM Home fleet handles every Houston delivery, which means we control the schedule, the crew, and the service standard end to end.

Customers Inside the City of Houston

You will receive a confirmation email and a phone call prior to your delivery date. On the day of delivery, our crew will text or call you 30 minutes to 1 hour before they arrive at your home.

Customers Outside the City Limits (Still Within Zones 1–3)

You will receive a confirmation email and a phone call prior to your delivery date. Once the truck leaves our facility, your driver will contact you 1 to 2 hours before arrival.

1.2 — Texas Delivery (Extended Routes)

On Tuesdays and Fridays, our trucks continue past the Houston metro to serve other major Texas markets. Tuesday covers the Austin and San Antonio corridor; Friday covers the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex.

How Extended Texas Routes Work

Our Tuesday and Friday trucks run dedicated long-haul routes connecting Houston to the other major Texas metros. Austin and San Antonio customers receive Tuesday delivery windows; Dallas and Fort Worth customers receive Friday delivery windows.

Order cutoffs apply. Call (281) 377-8547 by Friday 5 PM CST to secure the following Tuesday route, or by Tuesday 5 PM CST to secure the following Friday route.

1.3 — Nationwide Delivery

For destinations outside Texas, we ship through a network of more than 45 regional freight hubs across the continental U.S. Coverage includes all 48 contiguous states.

Nationwide Service Details

Nationwide deliveries use Outdoor Drop-Off (curbside) only — Indoor Delivery and Full Service Assembly are not available outside Texas. Transit time varies from 1 to 6 weeks depending on the destination.

Excluded destinations: Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Four Delivery Options

Every option uses the same delivery crew and the same scheduling system. The difference is how far we carry the items into your home, and whether we set them up for you.

Option 1

Showroom Pickup — FREE

Free

Pick up your order yourself, free of charge, at our Houston distribution warehouse (1510 Hopper Rd, Houston, TX 77093). Best for in-stock smaller items, or for customers with a pickup truck or SUV who want their furniture today.

Important: Call (281) 377-8547 at least 24 hours ahead so we can confirm your order is staged and ready at the loading dock when you arrive. Bring a photo ID matching the name on the order.

Option 2

Outdoor Delivery (Curbside)

Our delivery team brings your items to the ground floor outside your home and places them at the curb or driveway. For apartment buildings, items are dropped at the leasing office or reception area. From that point, you are responsible for moving items the rest of the way.

Scheduling: The day before delivery, you will receive a confirmation email. On delivery day, the technician calls with a 30-minute to 1-hour arrival window once your items are loaded on the truck. This is also the standard service level for orders shipped outside Texas via freight partners.

Option 4

Full Service Delivery & Assembly

Premium

When you add assembly at checkout, our technicians deliver your item, bring it inside, place it in the room of your choice, remove and dispose of all packaging, and perform basic assembly.

Scheduling: The delivery department will call to arrange your date and 4-hour appointment window. Upstairs carry limit is two flights of stairs (maximum 15 steps each flight).

Assembly scope: Basic setup using hand tools (screwdriver, hex key). Our team does not perform plumbing installation, electrical wiring, wall mounting, or any service requiring power tools.

Final step — 24-Hour Inspection: Open every box and inspect every piece within 24 hours of delivery. Any damage, defect, or missing component must be reported within that window via our claims form, by emailing service@kmhomefurniture.com, or by calling (281) 377-8547. After 24 hours, damage claims cannot be processed.

Reviewing this section in advance prevents surprises if something does not go to plan.

Signature Policy

For Indoor Delivery and Full Service Delivery & Assembly, an adult listed on the order (18+) must be present at the delivery address to sign. We cannot leave signature-required items unattended.

Damage Reporting

Damage, defects, or missing components must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Photos help us resolve claims quickly. After 24 hours, claims cannot be processed.

Warranty Repair

For products covered under manufacturer warranty, a service technician is dispatched first. If repair to like-new condition isn't possible, a written report authorizes replacement.

Stair Carry Limit

Our crew will carry items up to two flights of stairs (maximum 15 steps each flight). Beyond that, or for narrow stairwells, please upgrade to Full Service and call ahead.

Assembly Scope

Full Service assembly covers basic setup with screwdrivers and hand tools. We do not perform plumbing, electrical wiring, wall mounting, or any service requiring power tools.

Old Furniture Removal

Not included in any service level. If usable, we recommend donating to a Houston-area charity. For disposal of damaged items, contact your city for bulk pickup options.

Refused Delivery

Refusing a delivery, or failing to comply with delivery requirements (no one home for signature, blocked access, address change without prior notice), results in attempted-delivery, detention, and storage fees becoming the customer's responsibility.

Uncollected Pickup

If a Showroom Pickup order is not collected within 21 days of the pickup-ready notification, the order is cancelled. A storage fee plus a 25% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.

Do you offer same-day or next-day delivery?

For in-stock items inside the Houston metro, we frequently deliver next-day on our six-day schedule, depending on order timing, route capacity, and your zone. Items marked "In-Stock — Ready to Go" on the product page are fastest. Larger multi-room orders typically schedule 3 to 7 days out so we can coordinate crew and truck space. Call (281) 377-8547 if you have a hard deadline.

Which day will my delivery come?

Your delivery day depends on your zone. Zone 1 (Houston core, Pasadena, Pearland, Sugar Land, Cinco Ranch, League City) gets Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Zone 2 (Cypress, Tomball, Spring, The Woodlands, Katy west, Humble) gets Tuesday and Friday. Zone 3 (Crosby, Mont Belvieu, Baytown, Dayton) gets Wednesday.

I live in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, or Fort Worth — do you deliver to me?

Yes. Our Tuesday and Friday trucks run extended routes out of Houston. Austin and San Antonio customers are served by the Tuesday route; Dallas and Fort Worth customers are served by the Friday route. Order cutoffs: place by the previous Friday 5 PM CST for the next Tuesday route, or by the previous Tuesday 5 PM CST for the next Friday route.

How do I know if my address qualifies for free delivery?

Add your items to cart and enter your zip code at checkout — eligible Houston-area addresses will show free shipping automatically on qualifying orders ($399 or more before tax). Or call the store and we'll check your zip against our route map in 30 seconds.

Can I change my delivery option after I've placed the order?

Yes — call us before your delivery is scheduled. Upgrading from Outdoor or Indoor Drop-Off to Full Service Assembly is common and easy to add. Downgrading is also possible. Once the truck is loaded for your specific route, changes get harder.

What happens if I'm not home for my delivery?

For Outdoor Drop-Off without signature requirement, items can sometimes be left at the apartment leasing office or with a designated neighbor — confirm in advance. For signature-required service levels (Indoor Delivery and Full Service Assembly), the driver will attempt re-delivery on a future scheduled day, and an attempted-delivery fee may apply.

Do you take my old furniture away?

No. We don't offer haul-away service. If your old furniture is in usable condition, we recommend donating it to a local Houston charity — many will pick up for free. For disposal of damaged items, contact the City of Houston about bulk waste pickup.

What if my furniture arrives damaged?

Inspect everything within 24 hours of delivery and report damage by calling (281) 377-8547, submitting a claim through our Returns & Refunds page, or emailing service@kmhomefurniture.com. Send photos of the damage and packaging. Claims made after the 24-hour window cannot be processed.

Can I finance my order and still get free delivery?

No — free delivery does not apply to orders financed through any of our financing providers, including (but not limited to) American First Finance, Acima, West Creek Finance, Snap Finance, Progressive Leasing, and Synchrony. Your delivery fee is quoted at checkout and rolled into your monthly payment.

Can I pick up my order at the showroom myself?

Yes — pickup is free at our Houston distribution warehouse (1510 Hopper Rd, Houston, TX 77093). Call (281) 377-8547 at least 24 hours before you come so we can stage your order at the loading dock.
